Same here. Had great interviews, good vibes, and then… ghosted. If they’ve already chosen someone else, that’s fine, just let us know. We’re professionals too.
Yes. I agree with you!
I know it's frustrating but they don't want to waste their precious time.. andvthry don't need to talk to you because thty fontvget anything from it. I'm waiting on a college right now.. who knows 🤷♀️
Make sure you are writing a thank you letter after the interview. I have heard that if it is a close call between two applicants the one that sent a thank you letter for the interview was usually chosen.
A number of years ago I interviewed with a school in Beaverton and was determined to get that position, I shook their hands, wrote a thank you card, checked in a week later to be told, again, that they would call me with the result. I never heard back. A few months later I subbed at the very school and was told that this principal hated confrontation and so ghosted everybody and left discipline to the other admin staff.
Yep😐
Last year I sat on an interview panel that admittedly took months to fill. We had three “good” candidates but none were “great.” Candidate #1 interviewed within two weeks but it was almost a month after posting when the schedules aligned for interviewing candidate #5. We submitted the best name and higher admin shot it down, leaving the position open. Again, that took almost 6 weeks from the day it posted before we could let folks know they weren’t hired. I’ve been there. I get it. But seeing the other side was eye-opening. Hang in there!
