Hi everyone! Anyone in PwC’s Value Creation able to help and discuss qualifications required? I’m looking for a role in which I can use my Ops and manufacturing background for topics such as supply chain, cost reduction, performance improvement and Six Sigma to help increase value. I’m looking at the experienced associate level - could anyone refer if there is a match and or need? Also, is this Advisory or Strategy&? Thank you all! PwC

It’s not the money. It’s you.
Ambition. Neuroticism. Etc.
I’m the same way.
I️ have this perpetual nagging urge to run my own business...does anyone else feel this way, or have felt this way? Does it get better after you are making a certain amount, where forging your own path wouldn’t be as worth it anymore? 200k+ salary maybe?
Hmmm..... Thought 100k. Until I reached 100k. Thought 200k until I reached 200k. No idea!!
Private jet means go anywhere anytime and do anything, I️ believe that
C1 - 200k must be much better than 100k, no?
@OP thankful for what I make BUT I can't say it is.... Warren Buffet shared with an MBA group back in 2012/2013 that there's no change to happiness or quality of life after 100k unless/until you own a private jet. I agree! He was right.
And that’s why C1 flies private jets now 🤣
Manager and after the bonus magnitudes change. Directors supposedly get contract incentives but no one ever disclosed to me first hand what kind.
Damnit D1 your probably right...
I cringe at the idea of “average,” my wife just thinks I’m “too obsessed” with being wealthy, but you’re right it’s not just about the money
Owning your own business isn’t quick or easy.
After 100k tho? Hell no I️ don’t believe that, maybe 30 years ago when 100k was a lot, I️ would say after 500k
@slalom becoming an independent contractor is more attainable than you may think, and you can set rates against what clients will pay.
If you think you get a promotion by “waiting”, then that’s a part of your problem...
@BA1 independent contracting is barely a business. I did it for 4yrs. Biggest problem is lining up back to back work. Running a business (to me) means having folks working for you. I did that for 4yrs, also. I found the work and directed my team - actually, did everything EXCEPT product delivery. Not fast to get rolling, and not easy doing everything except your craft. Sadly, my business dried up with the economy.
Also, stress. Hard not knowing where your next check is coming from or if you’re going to be able to pay your people.
