Anyone ever look into buying a franchise of some sort? Any helpful resources or pointers?

My gf and I are looking at Popeyes! Not the most insanely popular but the closest one to us is almost an hour away so would add some variety to the area. Best resource for deciding what franchise you want to invest in is to look at your current market, assess what you have and what you’re missing. from the missing list, lookup franchise costs, terms, etc. and then narrow the list from there.

If you are going the chicken route, the u should do raising canes instead

I did, the ones I was looking at they have an entire section in their websites just dedicated to potential franchisees. I’d start there as they describe the whole process and how to start it.

It’s fairly expensive and requires a significant time investment which is a big deterrent for me

I worked at Chick-fil-A for a few years. The operator at my CFA had not worked for CFA before, but had been at Walmart for several decades.

Typically operators work at CFA for a long time and there is an extensive process to go through in order to get your own store (one of the people I know who got his own store had to travel all around the country working at different CFA’s before he was given his own franchise). You have to be in it for the long run and it will be your full-time job.

New to Toronto, moved to the west end of town/ just past - in Etobicoke. I celebrate my 40th a few days after NYE/NYD - would love some recommendations on moderately priced but nice ambiance restaurants for myself + husband, and my extended family. Everyone is scattered throughout (Hamilton, Barrie, Lyle, Newmarket, North York). Don’t want anything too fancy but don’t really know where or what is good and not downtown.

Any recommendations? (Open to GTA of course).

Hi,
Can someone refer me at NielsenIQ for Data analytics positions?

Let’s talk comp — I’m a remote head of recruitment with 6 years of experience being paid 75K base plus bonuses that got me to 90K this year. I’m interviewing for other jobs, and have a potential offer at $130K base. Any idea what the market is like? Is seems like anything between 72K and $250K is possible. I have no idea what to ask companies for.

Expecting an offer this week or early next week, but want to know when you start negotiating the salary? When you receive the call from the company or wait until receiving the formal offer letter? And how should the negotiation start? Through phone calls or emails? Didn’t use recruiter for this position, so I don’t know what is the process here.
