Your most likely exit is as a project mgr in tech/ops focused on back office projects ranging from tech platform upgrades to compliance projects to product rollouts. All banks have a huge # of ex B4 and tech consultants in these type of roles, try to find a role on a team that focuses on your area of interest. Depending on how you perform in interviews you'd probably come in at the AVP level although you might have to push for that.
You could try
If you’re a C you’d probably go in as a senior analyst or early associate. Depends on YOE. Would you be looking for NYC or Charlotte? What’s your focus? If technology consulting you’d probably do some sort of process improvement or IT job. I have family that does IT (Database and infrastructure) at BB banks and hearing them speak about their job is painful
Like technology strategy? I could see a case being made. Corporate strategy? Probably less likely tbh. Also depends where you got your MBA and which city you’re targeting.
I am in management consulting. The majority of my experience is in financial services conducting data integration within agile teams but I also have a background in Project Management and currently pursuing my PMP. I am open to all opportunities but would like to do more Strategy type of work because of what I learned during my MBA and a couple of Strategy projects that I have been on.
Either or, I have an MBA in corporate finance but have experience in tech.
