Anyone go from med mal lawyer to claims specialist at med mal insurer? Pros/cons of that kind of move?

At what point does the value of a degree fall off? I'm in my early 30s, and have five years of experience, and work on a very theoretically interesting project. I believe I'm on track to promotion in the next year. So, I could put in a year of full time school to check the box off, but I'd be sacrificing hobbies and social life (not to mention cost). In this field, when choosing a masters degree program is it more beneficial to get a degree in Human Resources to further my knowledge in HR (my undergraduate degree is in Economics) , an MBA, or Data Science Degree due to the fact that HR is becoming more data driven as well as get a PHR / SHRM-CP certification?

Is it worth it to take a small paycut to get the title of AE? I have the opportunity to move into an AE role at 2 new startups but both would be about a 20% pay cut from what I expect to make this year. Is it worth it to take the jump and get the job title?

I bagged an offer letter from Global Logic, for Automation Testing, but after connecting with team got to know they are using out dated tools for testing but while interviewing they asked about the latest tools which there in the market.
So can anyone guide me what to do now , is there any criteria to switch the project inside the GL only? How easy is getting to another project with GL?

I would like to first commend the attorney for starting this bowl. I attended a T4 school and was stuck in doc review for years. However through networking, I made connections which gave me a chance to get my foot through the door. I've been working for a plaintiffs personal injury attorney for 4 years. I just accepted a job working for the defense for medical malpractice. My current employer told me I'm going over to the dark side. Is that true? Am I selling my soul for defending doctors?
