Anyone have any advice on how to get into ESG work without any direct client/industry related experience in this field. Have 5 years of tech implementation experience which seems to have almost 0 transferable skills to ESG. I’ve messaged folks from firms on LinkedIn, tried networking, attending online webinars, reading everything I can get my hands on so I can somewhat speak the language, however can’t get any bites. Do I need to get an Mba or advanced degree or should I continue to reach out ?

For the people who earned the SHRM-CP, did you feel it was worth it? I have an indirect HR position, been applying for more HR focused positions and wondering if this would help. I got the CAPM (certified associate of project management) in December, but that hasn’t really changed things. Would love some opinions before working on another certification!
