Once you get the interview, easy and worth it.
100000% worth it. For the small incremental fee it makes the border way easier coming back, and you get pre-check also
Back in the day for sure. I’ve had for probably a decade and would look at the sad sacks in the passport control line and feel pity. Now with the automated mobile passport control options I’m not sure how much time it saves but it was cheaper than renewing my passport and got me precheck gratis.
Absolutely worth it. You should also check to see if your credit card(s) reimburse the fee. Quite a few do.
I 100% recommend getting it, if you ever end up traveling abroad more than once in the 5 year period, then it basically pays for itself.
Well worth it. But I had to wait 2.5 months to get an interview appointment. The interviewer was cold and the meeting very brief, probably because I didn’t have any red flags on my record.
Worth it. interviews are easy and quick. I haven’t flown abroad since covid but pre-covid it never took my more than 5 minutes to clear customs coming back home
FYI you interview with CBP, not TSA
That’s interesting. I’m doing do at Dulles as Reagan was booked out for months. Emails even say TSA
Every time I’m coming back from International flights, I skip the long line and pass by immigration smoothly with Global entry. So 10000% worth it!
Totally worth it if you ever travel internationally. It's only a little bit more expensive than standard Pre-Check. You can cut the customs line and in The Before Times, the lines at certain airports can be 2 hours long. With Global Entry, you barely break stride as you coast through to pick up your luggage. The interview is simply nonsense questions; it's really just an excuse to eyeball you to see if you look scary.
I have it but haven’t used it yet. The interview wasn’t even an interview, at least for me. Just a photo and fingerprints
I just renewed me global entry and had to do the interview again. I was super nervous as a few simple questions can determine a yes or no to this card. It was pretty informal like just talking to a friend, than at the end it was raise your hand and repeat after me type thing. Global entry is totally worth it for the tsa pre check but also helps when flying in and out of the country for security.
It was definitely worth it for me. I was traveling internationally for work (before COVID) and it made things so much faster, especially getting back and just wanting to get home
Worth it! you will fly through immigration. It is incredible. Just renewed mine. Some credit cards (mine for sure) cover the cost.
Super easy. I did mine at Chicago O'Hare and it took 15 minutes start to finish. They asked very generic basic questions and then took my finger prints and my photo and I was on my way home.
It’s easy they just asked me to verify my info
Very easy! Getting the appointment is the hard part. Had to take a road trip to Niagara Falls to get one soon.
But honestly I will never be without Global Entry now.
Are you a NY resident? Did you hear if NYers will be allowed to renew?
