Accenture really does not have enough Oracle cloud projects even though they hype so much about projects in pipeline. Not too many clients are excited about and like Oracle cloud as a product itself in general. Above impressions are only on Oracle cloud and don’t know much about other products within Oracle practice.
We have multiple Oracle teams focused usually on a specific industry (i.e Healthcare, State Government, Education, Banking, etc.). I am involved in our overall offerings for the future and in my opinion we are light years ahead of the competition.
For example, we took part in a RFI where the ask was how the client could use cloud products to run their business. 2 of the 4 big 4 firms responded with it couldn’t be done (KPMG was one of them who said it couldn’t be done) and we were the only ones to respond with a solution.
Culture is like anywhere else where you have to play the game to get promoted. I like our leadership at the Managing Director level but at Senior Manager they either are really good or really terrible. Not much in between.
There is a big push towards Oracle cloud, but even PeopleSoft has some strong projects going on. You would, though, be expected to get a cloud cert in your “spare” time.
Is oracle cloud CM or CDO?
