Has anyone taken the CAIA ? Any tips ?
FactSet hi, does anyone have experience working for FactSet in Norwalk, CT? How is the culture like? Are they promoting from within? Turnover? Benefits? Pay? Work-life balance? I’m applying for an investment type role and taking a job with them would require relocation. Anything that you can share is much appreciated, thanks!

20k extra, minimum 30% decrease in cost of living. Sounds like a good scenario for a few years!
Hope this helps: https://www.efinancialcareers.com/news/finance/would-you-move-to-salt-lake-city-for-a-job-at-goldman-sachs
I have enjoyed living in Utah. Lots of things to do if you are into the outdoors: skiing, hiking, national parks, etc. Most people are very friendly. Real estate has gone pretty crazy (relatively), but that's across the board in the West and many other places. You should know that the lack of diversity and heavy LDS (Mormon) population is a culture shock to most, but SLC is not as dramatic as the rest of Utah in that regard. The economy is very strong. It can be a fantastic place to live depending on what your goals are. Let me know if you have any other questions.
Agree with what Advisor 1 said. As someone that lived in Utah for a few years, I would say if lack of diversity is a big problem for you I’d stay out of there. I enjoyed my time there, but diversity is definitely not nearly as great as in other metro areas.
It is worth it. You'll probably end up moving somewhere else later on. It will help you build your network big time and may open other doors. Just remember that with change, opportunities arrive.
Goldman salt lake is a lot of back office. Make sure it’s operations. I got an offer out there and passed based on what a guy I knew working in New York told me
Sorry I meant make sure it’s not operations unless it’s what you want to do. I guess my advice is don’t go somewhere for the name
if u need the name and the business line really helps you, go there for a few years then hop. I think TX also has a lot of good opportunities with BB investment banks. Had a frd who went there, but not ideal for long long term since you are satellite to NYC
Why not give it a shot? Get DJ SOL to cover your relocation, expand your horizons, broaden your network, and enjoy not being in NYC while it’s turbulent
My best friend worked with gs in their slc office and then got moved to sf and nyc. You don’t have to stay in slc forever but it’s a good way to get your foot in the door.
Around 1.5 years. Maybe 2 years in San Fran and the rest in nyc
