I currently work at a firm that pays above market. 12 YOE, people transformation ( culture, not ERP/tech implementation) background. Current total comp is about $140-150k, plus $20k unvested equity. Is this a reasonable salary expectation for my next role: $165-$180 total comp annually, something like: $150k base, 25% bonus, + $30k equity, $25k cash sign on to replace what I’m walking away from in outstanding equity and expected bonus payout for 2021. i’m going thru the recruiting process for PwC Manager / advisory in Tier 1 city (Boston). what’s the base salary range I should be asking for that is not low ball or beyond realistic?
Today I have given HR Discussion last round where HR simply collected all the information. And told, she is ok and for formalities recruiter will connect. But she also for compensation part also recruiter will connect. So what do I understand, is my process completed is over just formalities left. And how time it would take to recieve offer letter. ??!
Has anyone had offers from multiple consulting firms? Was there any major deciding factor besides compensation? Having a difficult time deciding which is the best move for me. Any advice would help. Thanks.
Looking to resign in about a month. Really need a mental break from the corporate world. I’ve amassed about 2-3 years worth of salary in my investments to hold me through for however long. How bad is it if I took 6-18 months off to pursue hobbies and possible other career paths (content creation/vlogging) while being unemployed before applying to another job in industry? TLDR; I’m about to quit, how bad does a 6-18 month employment gap look when looking to apply again to the workforce?
I want to become an art director with zero design skills. I’m going to have someone else comp everything up for me. The ideas might be solid. Who wants to hire me?
Anybody have any insight on Cerberus? Culture, comp wise or other big takeaways? How is it looked at compared to the big MF’s?
What’s your price to quit right now expressed as a percentage of your total comp? Curious how this differs across firms.
Anyone from Databricks Professional services? Looking for info around hierarchy, WLB & total comp.
Flight was delayed 3 hours last week and they gave me 7,500 bonus miles after I submitted a complaint. Is this the norm for a 3 hour delay? Any tips to get more miles when this happens?
How much do non-MBA Senior Associates and Consultants typically make (base + bonus segmented if possible)?
If I gave a salary range in my pre-screen and then got an offer in that range, can I negotiate higher? They said 70-80k. I said I’m look for something higher (more in the 90-100k) and they said that should be doable, but really I want something in the 110-120k range (gave a lowball bc didn’t want to turn them off in the first round). How do I got about asking for higher?
Seattle question. Offered base salary 110k as a finance manager in Seattle in the industry and I am a 1st year audit manager at KPMG now. Is this fair or I have been low balled?
What is the salary range for a 1st year senior in EY FSO advisory for NY and Chicago markets? Any help appreciated.
Just a reminder to invest consistently. My gross salary for 2021 will be $85k and my gross bonus is $0. I’ve already increased my NW by more than my gross salary and we’re only halfway through.
Comp call - partner says that EY strives to pay above market. I can confirm my new salary (BAP staff 1 to staff 2) still has me making less than a campus hire at ACN or Deloitte in my city lol
Had an interesting issue this past week. Batch of client data looked normal in Excel, but when imported into our analysis software that we use for larger data sets and their manipulation (cont.)
Take a break from this crazy world and curl up with a good book! Not something you have to read, but something that you want to read because you chose it. Take your brain and imagination on a wonderful vacation to fantasy land. I'm doing some time travel to get away and dream. I hope you try it. Here's to coping skills!

So I just got to my 3rd round interview, now meeting with whole accounting team individually through Zoom, is this a good sign and is there anything I need to be aware of?
Moved into a new building a couple months ago. There’s a doorman who will see me struggling with packages or bags and never offers to help (automatic door so he’s not even actually opening the door). Am I really expected to give him a holiday bonus at the end of the year??
Anyone back to travel already or soon-ish? The COVID cases started to increase again 🤦🏻♀️ kinda concerned about potential weekly travel routine
how prestigious is working in the big 4 really?? I know its under google, investment banking and PE, but isnt it above pretty much the rest of industry ?

I need to find a job asap as I was let go and on a Visa. Any recommendations what firms to look at? Have exhausted my leads. M&A Tech is my background
Have anyone done contracting negotiations before? I've interviewed for co A & B and co A extended an offer today. The offer does not meet my current salary. Co B's interview structure is 3 rounds and I've finished my 2nd round today. The recruiter mentioned that since I am a contractor my current salary is incomparable as they will provide benefits, etc. Is this true? I have 2 yrs of contracting HR exp from fortunate 500 co’s & OMW to get my SHRM-CP. Appreciate your advice in advance.

Some day, magical flight to Honolulu, I will be on you and ride you like there's no tomorrow.
Just a shout out at the diversity I have been seeing while on-line shopping. It is something I am really happy to see. The various skin colors, hair types and body sizes are refreshing! Finally, I see people that look like ME! There are still some aspects that I am trying to fully embrace because for too long I was feed the lie of what the "desirable" body or hair type was. BUT I am changing and I am glad my children will not go through that brainwashing.
