Anyone here familiar with the Hedge Funds vs the Asset Managers & Funds team within Credit Risk? Aside from the obvious difference in client base, how does the day to day credit coverage of these accounts are handled? I have previous experience with HFs, and was wondering if the Asset Managers & Funds are viewed as counterparty risk? Do the team complete a credit analysis of the traded products only or the firms as a whole as well?

Hey guys! Currently in WM ops at Morgan Stanley for the past 1 year dealing with alternative lending, I’m super underpaid with 3 years of experience which is very frustrating. (73k). Have been at Morgan for 1 year and looking to come over to JPM for an ideal pay bump, but would like to get into IB type roll. Any insight on what I should expect or how to go about applying? Maybe even getting referred? I have a deep knowledge of investments and always felt inclined to go down this route.

3. 1+ year plan is to take the GMAT & apply to ivy league mba program. Planning to break into IB and then PE later.
4. Got approach recently by a recruiter from Houlihan Lokey (HL) for an associate position in the Midwest. Comp range 120k -130k. I make about 100k now.
