Just had a first round for a position that is not exactly what I thought it was (very confusing job description) — the actual job seems quite boring/niche but I’ve heard through my network that there are usually opps to move around once you’re there. Thoughts? The culture seems amazing so don’t want to discount the opp just yet.

Hello! I’m looking to enter the talent acquisition space, and am very interested in recruitment. I’ve held an HR role in the past and currently recruit students for a workforce development program. I know shrinkage happens to everyone, but do any of you have UNEVEN shrinkage? When my hair is blown out, my hair length is even (have it cut in layers), but when it’s wash day or even the days after, a significant portion of hair at my nape shrinks so much and makes my hair look crazy uneven. It dries very quickly when wet, & I have to keep adding more product (almost absorbs it, but it still looks frizzy/dry) to just have it hold and not shrink to much... cont..

So I accepted an offer back in mid March but I didn’t negotiate it up and now I’m regretting it, because apparently you’re supposed to. I got a much higher salary than expected and a sign on bonus, and it’s been a while since I accepted the offer, and the start date is later this year…. Is it too late to ask for a bit more though? I actually don’t know how the firms are going to fill the gap with audit seniors and managers running out the door. Have interviews set up at FAANG co and getting good signals, for a position that was posted widely (all across US) but not remote. Haven’t broached the subject of location yet. Would you (1) early on clearly state that you’re not open to relocation but that you would be open to visiting a big office once or twice a month; (2) not say anything now and wait to get an offer and ask for an exemption; or (3) something else?

In a few months I will have been at my company 2 years. After talking to colleagues, friends, recruiters, I feel I am pretty underpaid for the market.
