Commit to spending 15 minutes a day reading your Bible. After 2 weeks it will become a habit. Pray daily. It’s transformational. When you work listen to Christian music when you can and Biblical Christian podcasts. Limit social media - it is a huge time waster / in this job we don’t have time to waste. 😀May God bless you direct your steps! 🙏🏻
Dear OP, what you are struggling with is so prevalent, especially nowadays. I totally get it. I was just reading in the book of Hebrews this morning just after I saw your post; seems that the following passage may be applicable: Hebrews 10:22-25 “Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for he who promised [with regard to our salvation through Christ, our great high priest] is faithful. And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day [Christ’s return] drawing near.”
I think a big part of our being encouraged when we are struggling is referenced in this passage - seeking out fellowship, friendship, with fellow believers. Finding a good church and getting involved, meeting people, joining a Bible study or home group of some kind. Grabbing coffee, lunch, etc., with someone you meet who is your peer or maybe a bit older than you - in years and in their Christian life. If I didn’t have Christian friends to lean on, I’d find life pretty rough.
Sorry to go on so long but also wanted to share a prayer of the Apostle Paul that he wrote to the Ephesians. It’s in chapter 1. Actually the whole of chapter 1 is amazing; Ephesians in its entirety is absolutely beautiful and comforting! If you can, read it - in small sections, a few minutes every morning or before bed, for example - and ask God to help you understand and meditate on it. The prayer I was talking about is in chapter 1, verses 16-20. I will be praying this for you. God bless you, friend. ❤️
