How many days does in-person onboarding activities occur?

I want to switch and I have a very good offer with me. However everytime I think about resigning I get scared and I’ve this slight hope of something good happening in my current org. The culture and environment in my current org is very good. However I don’t enjoy the work I’m doing here. One of my friend got offer from UHG (Optum) 3 months back as contractor at 8.5lpa his previous salary was 5lpa, now within 3 month he got offer to be a permanent employee in UHG (Optum) , how much hike he should demand (or is it even ok to demand ?)
