Hi.
A curious case regarding interview at Amazon.
There is a particular opening to which I did not apply.
Got an email saying they want to interview me, with slot options.
I selected slot options and then I got an email for an interview with one of their employees.
Email is from hire_the_best@email.amazon.com
Have tried reaching out to the mentioned employee as well on LinkedIn to check if it is genuine - but haven't received any response.
Have observed this to be a fake incidence in the past.
What say?

Hello folks at Uber, I’ve been approached by a recruiter for the role of a Regional Operations Manager - Eats’ Marketplace team. Wondering how this fares against the Strategy and Planning team (which I’m guessing is the most elite Strategy team at Uber). Also, should I be looking out for any other non-engineering teams within Uber that are well known for what they do?

If you think you can pass the cpa “ easily “ why haven’t you ?
They were much worse than audit (all year) until recently (deal flow is current slow).

Try Kroll. Heard they are actively hiring in NYC office.
Lmk if you need a referral
I’d get that CPA while you’re unemployed. Gets much harder if you’re in the group.
Agree
I think I could easily pass CPA since FDD/TAS/M&A is a lot more motivating than audit/tax.
I want to learn the analysis side for buy side/sell side of the operations and finance of a company. I think I’ll learn a lot more about businesses and why companies want to buy a certain company. It seems to be much more interesting than audit from what I’ve seen. Throughout my career, I’d say I did the best in external audit like analysis and being client facing and I think those skills are very transferable to FDD/TAS. Also I took a financial modeling class and am very well versed in Excel and thought it was really fun learning finance related topics like enterprise value, equity value, DCF, EBITDA, 3 statement modeling and could probably apply that to FDD/TAS. My old audit mgr got recruited into FDD at Deloitte since he was depressed about being in audit and he also seemed a lot happier after going into FDD when we met up for dinner a year later. I really need to be engaged and learning new things to be happy at work, that’s why I’ve done so many different areas like external audit, corporate tax, internal audit, investing/trading.
