Although Amazon has instituted a hiring freeze and layoffs are probably on their way, I went through the loop for a security engineer position at AWS. Before I attended the final interviews, Amazon placed the hiring freeze and called me to ask if I wanted to go ahead or cancel my application. I decided do go ahead Right now I'm waiting for their response and the position I applied to changed from "under consideration" to "no longer under consideration". Thoughts?

Avoid at all costs they only do staff augmentation and PMO. Both original founders Global CEO and NA CEO left. It was bought out by FIS
It’s what you make it honestly. I am in digital transformation so not really the staff aug / PMO work. You can get into sales at a low level. They promote based on merit.
It gets a bad rep but to be honest, it really is what you make it. You have to be a self starter to thrive, but it nurtures that kind of behavior.
Levels are: Associate, Consultant, Senior Consultant, Principal Consultant, Managing Principal, Partner.
This is a lie. It's not what you make it at all. Capco isna terrible company with a terrible culture and terrible backstabbing employees
It’s alright. If you’re focusing on staying in FS (which tends to be primarily staff aug and PMO work) Capco is alright and has good exit ops into notable banks. The pay from what I can tell is a hit or miss, if you’re an external higher you’ll most likely get a premium at your level or at least a reasonable pay bump.
Also can’t stress that type of work isn’t foreign to the Big 4 or Accenture. FS do hire consultants for actually consulting projects and advisory, but a lot of the time they want Staff Aug based on the varying market. Firms like Capco, which need to punch above their weight and maintain a lean bench will find it hard to say no to staff aug and PMO. In the worst of times, the same will go for the bigger firms as well.
