I worked at RSM and someone very closed worked at GT (different offices). RSM does have a smaller office feel. GT is a big4 wannabe. I would rather work at RSM again that ever step into a GT office.
I second this
If GT wanted to be more like a Big 4 we wouldn’t have had any promotions and would’ve laid off high performance employees with short notice this year...
EY long island has the best culture for sure. Work load is a little less than the city.
Worked at GT for nearly 4 years. They think of themselves as big 4, even at small offices (some offices, even in middle of the road markets, are tiny - our tax had 8-10 people the entire time I was there, and office in total was maybe 30-40). However culture at small office was ok.
I did spend a considerable amount of time traveling to other offices and the vibe was entirely different at the larger ones. Much more like a big 4.
I work for the NYC office. It may just be my tax practice but we have a ton of ex-PWC people so my experience has been wannabe Big 4. Probably not representative of the entire office though.
I work in the LI office and love the culture there. Things are a bit different now in WFH times, but before that, we had fun office events all the time and everyone is really friendly and knows each other.
