My wife has two offer ,already confused and don't want to apply for any other opening now.

TCS- 20LPA ( 15.8 Fixed+ 80k retention bonus after each successful year of completion+ 3.4 L monthly and quarter variable pay)

IBM- 20.35 LPA (Total fixed) and 50 k joining bonus.

Yoe- 7.3 years. Technology- IICS.informatica power center.
Which one to join considering-
1. Career growth
2. WLB
3. Maternity leave benefits
4. Future annual hikes

Here’s a hypothetical:

A company has 2 candidates, aged 25-30, equal in every respect save one’s a man the other’s a woman. Maybe the woman is a slightly better candidate overall. They’d have equal comp.

Company considers the woman a riskier bet due to possibility she’ll take maternity leave — and considers the man less risky for his ineligibility to take as much leave. 🤷

I'm a US citizen living abroad I applied almost 11 months ago for my spouse. Married for years, kid. I wait and wait. It seems this will take 2 years, maybe more. I feel trapped. On one side the US system demands I work and domicile in US, the other side says families should be prioritized to stay together. My spouse has had enough of the process. I feel trapped abroad and locked in a dysfunctional system. We're just in limbo, it's depressing

A parent of one of my students told admin she thinks it's irresponsible that I won't be grading over Christmas break. I let the students know to get any work they need graded in before the break and I'll get it to it during our workdays in January. Apparently that's not fast enough for her 🙄. Is it wrong that I'm sort of pissed off by this? Should I say something?

Had an FET transfer and just got the news that the pregnancy test is negative. Feeling very defeated about it. All my labs are good (AMH 3.1) and the embryos were PGA tested. Have only two left now, and this was the best quality one. The irony is I did feel pregnant couple days after transfer but then I stopped feeling pregnant. I read that some women don’t really “feel” pregnant until 6-7 weeks… but i did “feel” then stopped. It just sucks. If you have any advice for coping, I’d appreciate it.

Working at a hospital with a million programs and services. When is developing an independent brand for a group justified, and when should it remain part of the parent brand?

My wife is around 3 months pregnant. Doctor has recommended Irospan. And my insurance says they don’t cover it. Looking for perspective here! I’m worried that my ex is going to refuse to pay child support and take me to court over it. And I’m worried that somehow support won’t be given. In your collective experiences, do judges award child support in 50/50 custody cases if the husband makes more a good deal more income? My ex makes 60% of hhi and I make 40%, but live in a HCOL area so really need support to help pay rent. My lawyer says I can’t make the rent case because I can move somewhere cheaper.
