I personally will be downgrading to a free card upon my renewal. The effective fee of 550 minus 300 is not worth it to now that I will no longer travel/eat out/Uber around.
By then, I will be eligible for a new chase sign up bonus on another card.
@PWC you do not if you downgrade. You would if you cancel the card and try to get a new signup bonus though.
Comes down to personal spend/category really. Without heavy travel categories, it’s tough IMO to justify it.
I got CSR before I joined consulting and it has always been worth it for me - bulk of our spend is on dining/travel.
The better play is to churn sign up bonuses. Downgrade the CSR before the next AF and open new cards and put your spend on the new cards for more points.

Depends on what you are doing. No brainer if you are going to travel (more useful due to the lunge credits when you can’t expense). But some things to weigh:
- 50% bonus on all other CSR cards
- $300 travel credit effectively offsetting fees
- Doordash benefits and credit
Just these three alone should offset fees. Yep
Trip protection etc.. could also be useful.
It also depends on what other cards you have.
My other credit cards are Discover, Bank of America Rewards, American Express Blue, and Chase United.
