Looking to get into SaaS sales but my experience is in construction and fine furniture (I was a sales manager and was able to lead my team of 4 people to consistently hit 450k monthly targets). I have initiated Resignation and got a good offer. HR offered retention and has almost matched my new company offer but my manager kept on insisting me not to revoke the papers.

I have informed HR to assign a different project which suits my role.

My question: Why does a manager asking an employee not to revoke. The same manager promised to increase my ctc but he failed to fulfill. Now HR is inclined to fulfill my expectations but manager asking to quit!
