Hi all,
I joined KPMG around 3 months ago but I am not getting work here. Although, I qualified some project's interview, yet due to some internal reason, they considered someone else, and I again came on bench.
I am unable to figure out what can be done now.
Should I start searching work outside.
(I hardly see any job openings these days)
(sap domain)
How's the resource management here?
(do they lagOff?)
Any inputs will be helpful.
Thanks!

(Audit person here, assuming tax isn’t different) Prepare for elevator speech, basic behavioral questions, and have some questions for them that isn’t boring but thoughtful. Normally a good PA interview is conversational.
You would just want to have a copy of resume with you but that’s about it. Come confident and with good questions.

Are you asking about a college transcript? I don’t think anyone will ask about your college transcripts
Interview is conversational. Once your interview is set up, it typically be 2 hours back to back interview with different people(30 minutes/interviewer). Once closer to the interview date, you will get the list of your interviewer. I would google those people’s LinkedIn. Have your questions ready at the end. Good luck!
@OP - I wouldn’t ask an interviewer if they’ve used mental health services to get through busy season.
If they haven’t, they’ll think it’s a goofy question. If they have, they aren’t going to want to share that in an interview with a college student.
I think your research is great but maybe have a question on a topic a bit less health related - diversity, firm programs, etc.
just present yourself well - be confident, usually they would ask whatever is written in your resume. just conversational. this will help you make a good impression. nothing to be nervous about :) also, dont forget to smile :)
Thank you so much! I’m going to work on my interview skills so i don’t appear nervous when the day comes
Based on your title, the only thing I would say to prepare is the story of why you are going from a financial analyst position to tax, what skills you have that will carryover, and what ever relevant experience you have with tax (if any). Otherwise, everyone hit it on the head that most interviews now a days are conversational
@OP - I don’t totally agree with D1 on not connecting your previous work experience. The technical work may not translate but being able to speak about projects/problems you’ve solved as a team, actually using outlook to manage your calendar and emails, how you ask questions/take notes, etc is a good to mention.
The interviews I do are extremely casual so I would not be nervous! We are given a questionnaire to fill out for the candidates after and we rarely ever actually ask the questions and just keep the interview conversational. You shouldn’t be given any technical questions just to get a feel for personality honestly.
