I joined a SoftBank/Arm owned company, after the interview they showed me an unofficial spreadsheet with a bonus structure of 30% + 25% of 30% (performance based). However I was told that it’s complex so I should look at final numbers. When they made me the offer, it stated 15% bonus which I ignored because the recruiter had promised me 30% + 25% of 30% (performance based). Now, after three months he says that I will get only 15% - I feel cheated and naive for believing the recruiter.

Have over 10+ years exp in mobile technologies. And I'm kind of bored now. Cloud and Devops interests me and I'm an AWS certified developer.

Has anyone made the transition from non-profit and small firm practice to federal government, big law, in-house? If you relocated from California (LA) to Washington state (Seattle), what will be the compensation adjustment? Will it be significantly lesser as Seattle is a MCOL vs LA an HCOL? Also, will only the base be adjusted or bonus/RSUs as well?
