I need some brutal honesty, so bring it on y’all.
My name is so common so I had to come up with something that wasn’t already taken when making an email during college and ended up with cindyflippinworks@gmail.com

When negotiating Salary, do you mention Glassdoor, Levels.fyi, or a separate source? Or neither?? Looking at a role I’m currently a candidate for and the discrepancy of pay between Glassdoor and Levels.fyi is absurd (IE Glassdoor average salary is almost 40K higher than Levels.fyi) Glassdoor also has more “data points”, for lack of a better term, than Levels.fyi for this role.

2 months in my case give or take.
If you do plan on joining, make sure your starting date is before the performance cycle cut off which is late September I believe. Otherwise you don't get a bonus or be eligible for promotion next year and will have to wait till the year after.

Thanks PiF - I guess living comfortably is all relative. From what I understand the Directors max out around 600-650 with 30-40% of that as bonus. It’s by no means a bad comp but for PE/ SWF it’s not great considering comp in other geographies or for people who are partners in consulting. And indeed the ceiling while not as relevant if eg you are a consultant/ EM, may be big negative for principals/ partners. I assume this is why there is not a big contingent of senior people from tier 1 firms there.
They typically reach out to ask for documents a week after your final interview then spend anywhere between 4-6 weeks till the offer comes in
What kind of documents? Do they ask?
Do they ask payslips from. Previous jobs?
Having the same issue - few weeks since docs sent and still nothing. Nice to know I’m not the only one
The whole process including negotiations took 6 months with me. Even though i was internally referred by a client i worked with before and he wanted to expedite the process
Ya as I rejected their initial offer
I’m in a similar situation with a big 4. After final interview they asked for references and docs. Is that a good sign ?
Which docs did they ask you??
