5+ years at SEI
For a senior con moving to SEI is a pretty good move. You get to jump pretty far up the pay scale quickly. If you're looking for a MD pathway, SEI is not the way to go. The MD cohort is fairly stable and relatively young. Nearly everyone is in a client facing consulting role and you have to be OK with being a BA on some projects and a Strategic Leader on others. The other thing is you bounce around between industries and solutions. You have to love the challenge of pivoting with each new engagement. The people are top tier. Because it's such a flat org, peers won't tolerate anything less than top performance. Which leads to a natural pruning of those who don't put forth the effort. I've been at a few firms (worked at two and had two others as clients) from what I have seen, SEI is about the best there is for a midsize, employee owned firm.
What are salaries like?
Do you mean SEI Investments/SEI Global Services? They just laid off a bunch of their sales people if you do.
