Don't imagine you'd see all 30 weekly. Maybe 3-5 kids a day. At least that's what it used to be like at the elementary school I was at.
I worked in school based setting for many years. If you're working in a school with 6 periods, then they want to see a student for every period. It can be done but that caseload doesn't leave room for crisis or drop in situations. Or if a student is absent. Which at a school, does happen.
I would ask is there is a difference between caseload and actual face to face client time. And what happens if you are short face to face hours.
And seeing a student every period gets really tiring. Set really firm boundaries about break times and lunch. At a school, it's very easy to forget to eat and ha e a routine. Becuaee things change quickly.
Good luck.
Not a ton of room for notes and reflection if it's going to be 30 students a week, every week. Seems like a high number to start to me too.
Thirty seems too high a number for someone who's just starting out. But then again, there's very little possibility that all thirty students will see you simultaneously.
Our caseload in our schools is roughly 13-27 depends on the severity of the children.
