I worked there for 3 years. Highly dependent on what location given their primarily local model. What office would you be in?
Would be based in london
Worked there for almost a decade after leaving during the pandemic. If you come from a large consulting firm you will be disappointed in the compensation, type of work you do, and the resources on your projects. If you come from industry you’ll probably like it.
In general the compensation lags the title by one level at most firms (e.g., Principal = Sr Manager comp, manager = Sr Consultant comp etc). It becomes a challenge because when you get a good resource they inevitably leave and double their comp in some cases. They got rid of all the good strategy people between 2018 and 2021.
When I was there 85+% of the work was staff aug. Doesn’t matter what “capability” label they put on it. It’s difficult to not do staff aug due to the high utilization targets.
The staff was more miss on the hit or miss spectrum. Most employees have 30 years of 1 year of experience. Part of the sales pitch is that the resources have more experience but the reality is they are generally light on accomplishments.
Highly political environment too so it doesn’t matter what you actually accomplish in terms of promotion, it only matters how well the MDs like you.
All the negatives aside, the people are generally pretty cool and the hours are pretty good. You’ll have a great work life balance and likely earn more than you would in industry.
