Raise your hand if you feel like you actually DON’T get steam rolled by your CD or higher up during a pitch?

I’m unemployed right now, but I’ve had some very supportive CD’s and ECD’s in the past who have loved my ideas on every pitch and helped me to make them even better and then used them as main concepts for the pitch. Only had CD’s and ECD’s at one shitty small shop steamroll my ideas and go with their own dumb testimonial campaigns every time

After talks with my regional marketing team (RMT), each of us feels that we deserve a raise and have been underpaid since we began. We are the most productive RMT, we drive global scaling with our work as examples, and train up our counterpart teams across the globe. All of this with half the team members of the other teams and within two years of our existence. Does anyone have guidance or advice on how to raise this type of issue, and how to seek a raise both individually and as a team?

My dad was talking to my long term bf about setting life goals, and told him a story about a family friend whose wife had a large corporate job and her husband “was the stay at home mom” (said in a way that was clearly meant to be a dig at the husbands masculinity). My mom stayed home to raise me & my siblings, which ALLOWED my dad to work long hours/be successful. I’d love some help thinking through this. I’m currently renting for $1600 base ($1800 total) and live in the least desirable part of town, and expect it to raise to about $2k/month. I was planning to buy my first property in the city and Airbnb part of it, but it will take me about a year to save up the cash (~$500k starting). Eventual goal is to move more rural but trying to build to FI. I found a property in my ideal dream location for $280k but it needs work, and can’t Airbnb it. Continued

I gained over 25 pounds over lockdown, went for drinks with colleagues for the first time since March 2020, and the very next day I had other colleagues messaging me on teams and dropping remarks about how they are walking a lot these days to drop COVID weight. My question is do I bill the full day even though I only put in a few hours of kick off calls and contacting folks to get access to the things I need? It’s not my fault they were disorganized.
