Was scheduled for an interview today for a Director pos. early morning I get a Reschedule request to next Wednesday but I cannot make it due to personal commitment .
Called recuit mgr.to let him know and he tells me the director is very busy as she’s the IT. Dir for the whole org.politely asked him to send her availability other than next Haven’t received anything since then . Wondering if such co. Is worth pursuing that doesn’t value others time and that too a replacement pos for the same busy role 🥹

On Monday, HR asked me to send require documents but not scheduled any HR discussion call. I sent docs to HR. Is there any HR discussion call happening in BNY ? I tend to overwork myself and it’s really taking a toll on my mental well-being. I want to learn a lot and prove myself to my superiors so that they recognize me/see value. Now my work has a sense of dread to it. I watched my parents be workaholics growing up, so it’s all I know. I’m also goal-oriented and driven, so achieving a lot scratches that itch for me. But, it’s making me want to quit cause I’m burned out and depressed….im not sure what to do. Any suggestions would be helpful.

I have a pic on mine. I’m a creative so I feel it’s more common for us. I haven’t had it be an issue. I’m not in a bikini or anything. It’s just my head. I’ve never had anyone say anything bad or good about it so I see it as ok. Do you!

Here for it! We encourage our candidates to be creative. I’ve gotten headshots on resumes, visual resumes, resume graphs, etc. the creativity is always a plus.
All I am saying is if your personal branding requires you to have a picture of yourself as the hero, you might as well be typing in TNR because your personality is nothing but shallow.
Everything else I agree with: color is cool; great type hierarchy a big plus. Be a rule breaker and make it a 2 column document? God might not forgive you, but I will. Place your photo on it? I’m not even looking at it.
Some agencies won’t even look at your resume if you do this because of policies around discrimination. In my opinion that’s as it should be. Your physical appearance doesn’t and shouldn’t add anything
