Are job descriptions becoming unrealistic? I was reading a in house job posting today, they ask for a long list of skills — subject matter expertise on transactions, employment law, contract and litigations, and also tech knowledge, leadership experience etc. Recruiters and hiring managers — are these truly expectations for one candidate, or more of a wish list?

Hi! I started at a new company 2 months ago and while I’m really enjoying my job so far, I’m having a hard time gauging whether or not I’m doing a “good job.” My role seems to be always evolving, which is fine and I actually enjoy being a support to the greater marketing team, but I feel like I need better defined targets to make sure I’m meeting expectations. I have an offer for $130k for a senior attorney position in a boutique L&E firm. Also have a recruiter who thinks she can get me into another for $150-170k.
