The company I work for, F5! Also based in Seattle and competes for local talent here with Microsoft, Amazon, Google, etc. I was hired remotely and it didn’t affect my salary/benefits than someone who was local to Seattle area. Decided to move here a couple months later for my spouse’s job and it was super easy.
I would say benefits are not significantly different all across whether it’s salesforce, Adobe, a FAANG, Microsoft, NVIDIA, hubspot, big4, MBB. Similar PTOs, fitness subsidies, decent to great health insurance etc etc, holidays/floating, 401ks.
All the benefits become meaningless however if the culture and wlb aren’t good. Those are the two that matter most in my opinion and should be consistently great across teams. Very few companies in that category these days.
Thanks for sharing this...it's so true. Benefits are meaningless if the place is terrible.
