@A1, I agree that these skills are important wherever you go, but I also feel like I would be happier and have more opportunity to succeed in a career path where said skills are less emphasized.
required in consulting (diplomacy, decks, PMO, management) are things I find intensely draining compared to the building/tinkering I did as an engineer.
You will also find that the further you progress in your career, the more these “soft skills” become increasingly important. I wouldn’t give up on them completely
Grind that leetcode 🏋️⛏️👷
There are some consulting roles that are highly technical. Mine is. Perhaps a search on roles requiring a math/ computer science/ engineering degree would help you.
