Hello people, how common is a Amazon to PWC move ?
I’m interviewing for a Senior Associate role and TC seems to be more competitive than role in L5.
TC $114k- Base AMZ- $73k +$38kstocks ( vesting 17k$ due next year)
TC $135k Base PWC -$81$ + Bonuses ( 50k$)
Looking for managerial skills which the PWC role avails, and L6 promo doesn’t seem to be happening soon in current role. I’m also mentally stretched. I hear WLB in PWC is just as busy but can anyone confirm if this move makes any sense. Google Amazon

Absolutely! Why not? You can still keep looking for perm roles
Thank you all for your response!
I was wondering… how much should I be asking for this contractor role?
I have 6 years of recruitment experience and can bring on my network and connections to the role.
I’d conduct a thorough market/company compensation analysis and assess where your yoe/education and any certifications, if applicable, would fall within that salary range to get an idea of an hourly rate. Remember this is a contract role with no benefits, for which most employers pay somewhat of a premium. But again, I truly believe it would be a wonderful professional experience for you from which only good things can arise. Keep us posted on your journey and congrats again on the offer!
First, congrats! Same as R1 but unless you are at one of the top companies I’d say if it interests you, go for it because it will open opportunities upon exiting. Plus, you never know, they may offer FTE.
I agree with all this! Solid advice. Congrats on the offer.
That’s awesome! Like some others have said, doing contract work for companies like Microsoft can open a lot of doors. Contract work does have its disadvantages. You will not receive company benefits and such (I assume you know this). Other than that, it is great!
I would take it! Having Microsofts name on your resume could open some doors down the road for you.
How long is the contract for
12 months is good I’d do it especially if fully remote and the pay is there for you
I personally do not like contact jobs. I don't like not having benefits or having to keep track of what I'll owe in taxes.
If you're good with those two things the money can be good.
I wouldn't take a contract for less than a year.
Got it, thanks for sharing! The contract is 12 months
