Are there any tech innovative educators out there? If so, what are your job responsibilities?

Does anyone else feel like they haven’t developed any truly transferable skills? I’m a manager in our Internal Audit practice and I think this idea keeps me from exploring other options.

I will be starting in Big 4 FDD as a campus hire. Is the promotional path similar to audit (A1 -> A2 -> S1…) after each year or so?

Hello everyone! I am a Judicial Law Clerk, which I have been for a little over two years now. However, I’m planning on moving into the AML/Compliance realm. I have a background in finance, having been a Finance Disbursing Officer in the Army for 6 years with one deployment in that role. Additionally, I am currently a JAG attorney and studying for my CAMS, hoping to take that exam in the next month or two. Any advice or referrals for anyone I can talk to learn more about the field? Hey Partners! I accepted a position at another firm and was bumped from manager to Senior consultant level. Could you give me some advice on 3 key things I can focus on to help me re-advance quickly?

What apps/ or websites do people use to stay on top of their game for their careers besides LinkedIn, Fishbowl, business magazines or newspapers and in person school networking events? I don’t have any friends or family who are in Finance/Investing/Tech and I want to surround myself with more of this stuff outside of work.

I am looking to gain certification or other credentialing in diversity and inclusion, not only because it would look good on my resume both for future job-search purposes and also to become better educated in this area, which is growing in importance.
I looked at SHRM's "Inclusive Workplace Culture Specialty Credential" and got a bit of "sticker shock" at the cost - $1,655.00 for members.
Does anyone have other suggestions on training/credentialing in this area?

What do you learn in FDD as opposed to valuation / modeling? Take this from the perspective of someone now in audit.

Been at company many years and rebuilt dysfunctional team into high performers while also driving huge metrics and impact. Recently interviewed for elevated role and CEO congratulated me and told me I slayed it and he was proud of me. This is 2nd time I’ve applied for this job and found out yesterday my boss (not CEO) hired external. Don’t feel valued and I’m likely quitting without job. I’ve been through the ringer at this place/boss. Am I making a mistake for leaving without another job?

Trying to make a switch in my career to heavily software focused. I’ve been learning C++ using some online courses and I’m learning but I feel like it’s not practical when I want to apply to a job. I see a lot of posts about only changing jobs if there's a big raise. I jumped out of consulting into a job that pays the same amount, but has way better WLB, culture, and other benefits. I was just not happy at my old job and I don't regret the switch. If you're not happy, it's ok to move without the change being all about a huge salary jump. Any tips on how to switch from account to strategy? I fell into account management but through school and working with strategy, I realized I want to be in strategy

I want to break into mergers and acquisitions but was unable to attain summer analyst positions in undergrad. Currently, I have an offer for compliance examiner for futures and a tax position at a midsize public accounting firm. What route would you suggest I take? If investment banking is out of the picture, then I would love to break into consulting for one for the big 4 accounting firms. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Found out an overseas person was allocated. Reached out to manager/partner - they didn’t realize and both made bad comments about them. So I asked… if I had to work with them.
