I accepted an offer from Cognizant for a consultant position a little less than a month ago. My joining date is 5th September and I would need visa sponsorship. I have completed my pre joining formalities and background verification. The thing is I haven’t heard from HR in a while and no update as yet on visa sponsorship process. Should I be worried?

Question on UK visa-
My partner will be traveling often to London, once a month for an year starting September. He is getting his visa through work (10 years, multiple entry, 6 months max stay, cost some $1000).

I have applied for standard tourist visa in the past and they are usually short term. It could be max 6 months, but they see your itinerary and allocate you few months around the itinerary

Is there a way to get 6 months multiple entry visa, if I were to join him once in a while.

Has anyone reevaluated their retirement methods after a life-altering experience? I used to invest a lot more ($5k or so a month), but after losing one of my parents last year (mid-50s), I’ve wondered if it’s better to just enjoy life as we are living it. But I always see people on here talking about all of these retirement schemes (backdoor Roth, mega-backdoor Roth, etc.) and I’m wondering if there’s a happy middle ground somewhere.
