As a recent law graduate with experience in legal software and digital coding from my role as an Administrative Assistant at a medical practice, , I developed skills in data management and process optimization. This has sparked my interest in data analytics and consultancy, recognizing their importance in compliance and decision-making. I aim to gain experience in these fields to enhance my analytical skills and regulatory knowledge, supporting my long-term goal of becoming a Compliance Analyst.

Do what you feel is your calling and dream. From my perspective, I'd stay with your law career. Changing careers for a middle-aged person has several problems. First, we don't learn new things as quickly or as well as an 18-year-old college freshman. Heck, we don't learn things as quickly and well as toddler. The brain is more like a sponge when it's young and more like a bowling ball when it's older. Even assuming you go to school, graduate top of your class, and are ready, willing and able to set the tech world on fire, be ready for hiring managers to look at you and say to themselves, "another mid-life crisis."

Why is education deemed more valuable on a pay scale than experience? Employers will pay someone with a degree and no experience a greater salary, than someone who has exhibited the experience. Understanding that the degreed person committed to school and finished, yet that doesn't diminish what the not degreed has committed to and accomplished in their careers. This has to stop!
