As a Senior Designer how much do you make as a full-time employee?

Curious to know what salary Social Media Managers are making in the NYC area. Interviewing for management roles and here comes the dreaded convos for desired compensation.

Anyone go from SaaS / licensing sales to services (strategy & implementation) sales?

I'm thinking of moving from large cap tech to large cap consultancy firm to help build the resume and round out my experience. I enjoy and do well in licensing, but I'm fairly young in my career (<6 years) and received a great offer to make the move.

What are your thoughts on a fair base salary for tier 3 strategic account manager role (tech), for someone with 7years experience, but not in tech?

I've always used "OTE" to describe my base + variable, but many in this bowl seem to refer only to their variable. Which is correct?

MBB data science expert role (i.e., mostly identical progression as generalists but less up or out pressure) or third (?) tier tech companies (DataRobot, C3, etc.)?

Assume starting TC is same at both or 10% more at the tech companies. That's the figure they're roughly giving me during interviews. Also coming from Deloitte.

On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the most, how pissed would you be if you were a supervisor and you had a new direct report on your team with a higher salary than you? The years of experience are the same, but you have 3 designations (they have 0), you have 3 licenses (they have just 2), they have little to no experience with technical complex claims (you have hundreds), and you have 3 years in management (they have 0).

I have two offers, one from Am Law 100 firm and one from Am Law 200 firm. Am Law 200 firm is offering 40K more (otherwise the firms have same hours target and, based on discussions, similar culture). I’m trying to decide between the two based on long term career prospects, both offer opportunity for NEP (not sure how realistic it is at either). Also not sure of overall earning potential down the road. Is the 40K now worth it or am I likely to make that up at the Am Law 100 firm in the future?

When I started (campus hire), I asked what the offer differential was for a masters degree. Was told “$0”. I’m curious; should someone with another degree (MAcc in my case) have no pay bump cont.

For those that have no desire to ever go in-house, what are the reasons other than the pay cut? Or is that the only reason?

Does anyone have a lead on / advice on finding PM positions over $220k/yr? It seems like most positions I’m targeting are closer to $150k and I’m currently at $190+. I’m not sure I qualify for big tech Director level (would be open to and great for startup Director Level)…it seems I’m a great fit for many Sales Ops / GTM PM roles but most I’m finding promote the ~$200k+ people internally and the job reqs are ~IC 4/5. I’ve designed and implemented many successful worldwide programs.

Is 13LPA fixed at EY GDS Consulting justified for 5 yoe and designation as Senior Consultant 1?

I'm curious what your sales goals are and how does that increase with your title? For example, at my firm, Practice Leads have a 500K goal while Directors have goals between $1-5 million depending on seniority. I'm wondering if that's low or not.

I am asked during this RE analyst interview to build a real estate model from scratch. My background is commercial banking and I am used to analyzing real estate deals from the lender side not the developer. The interviewer is generous I must say he’s giving me a few days to complete. However this model is for a ground up multifamily development. I have no prior experience building one. I can find models online but all very complexe to reproduce. How would you handle? California peeps. I have a feeling I failed FAR, which is my last exam, but my score isn’t released until May 11. Can I submit the reapplication with the CA Board of Accountancy to speed up the retake and NTS process in case I failed? Or do I need to get my exam score first? I need to pass by mid June, else my REG score expires, hence the rush to resubmit the re-application.

I left a very toxic work environment that deeply effected my mental and physical health and took a very different job to have a change of pace and do something different. Recently at my company there was some concern with salaries due to an accidental email going out with starting salaries for new job postings.. long story short, is it common for different departments to have higher salaries for the same title? For example a senior graphic designer in brand verse product marketing?

A year ago, I got promoted to Art Director, and since our team is pretty small, I’m still very hands-on in terms of designing. I’m currently responsible for creating online advertising, branding and everything that goes into our social media channels (design, not content). I want to ask others Art Directors here, what responsibilities you have. What your day-to-day looks like? I’m still doing everything that I used to do when I was a Lead Designer. Am I missing something?
