As a software engineer, I approach personal investing the same way I approach building reliable systems: focus on long-term thinking, risk management, consistency, and data-driven decisions.

I believe good investing is less about chasing quick wins and more about understanding fundamentals, staying disciplined, and continuously learning from market behavior.

Not financial advice — just my personal perspective.

My role was not what I'd expected so I didn't plan to stay for so long, but here we are. I dread every single day at work.
I want to move to Marketing oriented roles but my current profile is becoming a hindrance. Have been upskilling through certifications but don't have hands-on experience.
Anyone who's moved to e-commerce companies or marketing and can guide me?

I had a baby almost a year ago. I should start a 529 account for my child but I am originally from France which also makes her a French citizen and she could easily go to college in France for not much money. It’s pretty much free there, I have 0 Student loan debt. With that in mind, a 529 would not be super helpful if we go that route. Should I consider other options? Do you have suggestions? Thanks so much!
