The bottom 😂
Partner, intern, everyone else
Director is right before partner. It’s equivalent to an experienced SM at Deloitte.
At PwC, actually MD is right before partner as well. MD can be a career MD or could also make partner.

Can my intern review all my returns, I don't wanna do it
Associate -> Senior Associate -> manager -> senior manager -> director -> managing director -> partner
I’ve seen a lot of director -> partner though.
MD is not in the normal progression. It’s Director > partner/principal or MD (non equity partner). MDs are also being phased out.
