At the very end of the day today, the partner I work for reviewed an assignment I prepared and basically told me it had to be completely reworked (it’s due early tomorrow by the way). His comments made no sense to me so I had to ask questions so that I understood the issues that apparently I didn’t understand the first time around based on his revisions. He got so fed up with me he hung up on me saying he’d do it himself. No question for the bowl. I just hate this job.

I am so sorry this happened. It’s a sign of poor supervision and management all around—from giving poor instructions, to providing major edits the night before a project is due.

Looking back, whenever a supervisor has said, “do I have to do it myself?,” I wish I had just let them.

Hey folks. Question for the majority of us still under the big 3 holding co’s...are raises a thing anymore? I’ve been at my (smaller) agency almost 5yrs and got one raise (a nice $12k bump) during that time—is that sufficient? Is one increase in that span normal? I also recognize being somewhere 5 years is rare these days. The honeymoon period at any agency seems to be 2.5—3yrs before bolting. Not complaining, just asking. Have y’all been getting raises/bumps in any kind of regular cycle? Thx.
