A BCG recruiter ghosted me after she reached out to schedule an interview. How long should I wait before following up? What is the common courtesy to give to ppl at BCG. I don’t wanna come off as too aggressive but I really need to get this interview set as there are other pending confirmations Boston Consulting Group

I would be surprised if they got the data pulled at the perfect time to even discover this. If they did, be transparent about it. If you are the person for the role, I don’t think they would use this as the deciding criteria. I would not disclose this information, unless asked, especially since it is a more recent event. Best of luck to you!

Thank you so much. I am afraid when they run my credit as part of the background check they are going to see it obviously. It already happened to me where I got rejected from a job. Hoping for the best!
What is the job?

Thanks for the advice. I really appreciate that
What’s for you will not miss you. Calm your mind and wait for them to respond ! Good luck and I hope you get the role

Thank you for that. I have been feeling anxious today after being rejected from a role that I got to the final interview round. It sucks because that job was going to help me tremendously improving my financial situation. But hey things don’t go as we plan..
I had medical bills on my credit years ago and attempted to go back to J P Morgan and was denied employment because of them. It was a banker role that didn’t require licensing, the worst part was that my employer at the time suspected that I was looking to leave and terminated me, since I live in an at-will state.
Hi I’m thinking about leaving JP Morgan if I can’t promote to a role I was promised during hiring, how is it at fidelity investments
Depending on the role but I do know a bankruptcy is one thing on a U4 that disqualifies you for a lot of financial roles. Best of luck to you!
Rising Star
Yes, that has been the case because I applied for some client facing roles (assisting FA etc) and I was rejected because of this bankruptcy.
I wouldn’t worry about it

Thank you!
Don’t give your two weeks notice yet
Rising Star
No, I am not planning too after filing for bankruptcy and whenever I noticed employers know about this or find out. Most of the time I get rejected. I even though about changing careers because I am tired of getting rejected.
Unfortunately there’s no upside. Some of these things are up to the company’s discretion but it’s not looking sunny. 50/50 chance

Thank you!
I had to do a U4 as well and I put my actual work history and they got back and said it was incorrect I needed to fix ASAP. It was correct but I did it the way they told me to avoid more problems. I heard bad credit, bankruptcy, and felonies/ class a misdemeanors would disqualify me from my role but I’m a banker, not in your current role. Good luck they’ll let you know in about 2-4 weeks if anything comes back.

Yes I noticed that anything dealing with clients directly or being a banker for example automatically disqualify someone with bad credit. It sucks because my situation was not for over spending, but just a lot of medical bills after the pandemic.
Did you hide this in any way during ur hiring process? If not don’t worry

Thank you!
