I just watched several people maimed in an amusement park accident. Here are 10 things it taught me about employee engagement.

I found the story uplifting. If you’ve gone through something like this and you have to then check into work, with people who are not empathetic to your personal situation while you are going through an extreme circumstance - you know it can make healing take longer or be impossible.

I hate whatever happened in life to make this cynical post. He clearly didn’t go straight to LI to post as he made sure his kids and family were ok and that he and his wife have already had multiple surgeries.

Agree with you. Sometimes there is nothing wrong in feeling gratitude towards your company and expressing it.

My coworker once explained why she was so grumpy at the office. One day, she slid her car into a snowy ditch. Nobody called to check on her. Nobody called to yell at her. This is well before remote work, and she was a general purpose IT person.

Think I can one-up him if my family is injured in a car crash??

@C2, some people would as well!

It wasn’t cringey until the end. It got a little weird with “this isn’t a paid post”….. 🙃😩🫠

I actually commend this guy. He took the hit for his kids. They’re alive bc of his attempt to get control.

Are we reading the same post? Where does he claim that?

Just a side note, I can’t stand a people that write and entire encyclopedia for their LinkedIn posts

I don’t make 40x my rent. So I most likely would need a guarantor. What kind of documents do apt buildings usually ask from a guarantor?? I’m asking to know if I could ask a family member or if it will be too personal and they may not want to share such documents/info with me.

I work in field sales as an IC. My aspirational career path is to end up in people leadership. Recently, an Inside management position opened up that’s been brought to my attention by the hiring director. Question is, is going back Inside the right move to get into started in leadership? Or should I continue down the field path and wait until those field management slots open up?

I’m currently in the process of being converted from contractor to permanent. I’m seriously enatkng to get into an SE role and have been searching for Associate Sales Engineers that do NOT require SE experience since I’ve none. It’s proving to be difficult. Most companies for some reason are requiring 2-3 years of experience for the Associate role. 😭 Any Sales Engineers who know of companies hiring those with no experience? I am in tech as a BDR already.

There really is such a direct correlation between cringey title and cringey posts.

Before LinkedIn...to me, the king of professional cringey was Shingy. Do you guys remember him? He was aol's overpaid "digital prophet" and got paid to visit companies at lunchtime and babble the same kind of nonsense we now call "LinkedIn cringe".
