I agree, if numbers are absolute and not % then 285k/year TC is fantastic for a C
30k bonus or 30% bonus? 50k RSUs? Any refreshers or long term incentive bonus? What’s your experience and interests? NAMR? Overall this sounds very good for a C offer and maybe average for PL offers, so depending on your experience and how BCG is going you could improve things if you stick it out. That being said, if you love this role it’s likely very worth it
NAMR. 30k bonus
Take it and go. A first year Mckinsey em and this is similar to the offer I am getting, and planning to leave
Yes. That’s PL/EM $.
Mentor
This is a very good offer for a C and frankly a PL assuming you aren’t taking a huge COL adjustment hit
Take it! Great offer. Been interviewing as a PL2 and the offers I’ve received are only slightly better, but this is close enough that it would have been a no brainer when I was a C2.
Take it and run! Congrats

Took a similar offer (~$300k) as a PL2, so I’d take it for sure!

Dude, that’s awesome! I think you should 100% take it. Not only is the money good, but the increase in WLB will be great compared to being a PL.
I’m a C that’s also thinking of exiting to Big Pharma. Can I DM you to ask about your search?
Yeah it’s solid (I took something similar) and WLB is wayyy better
For PL/EM I think you can all do a little better, unless you have no other experience. Keep in mind bonus is only 15% and the rsus are a one time thing probably that may vest over time. Would expect a higher annual bonus (or higher base instead) and maybe perpetual long term bonus
50k/yr, so ~285k/yr.
Grab it and run.
East coast or west coast?
Offer is decent. Assume this is for Director. Range is something like 275-325
Just keep in mind that you only leave once. Don’t feel pressured to go just because the offer’s on the table, because an offer like that will come again. I made a similar move as an Associate at McK and a small part of me wonders whether I should have held off choosing a little longer
Make sure it’s the role and the team you want to join
I was 3 mos away from EM and decided not to stay, between 2 D offers and felt pressured to take one
I didn’t spend enough time actively searching and HF/VC were options that I ultimately didn’t pursue because I left too early. In hindsight there was no downside to staying at McK and biding my time, because my company was still hiring for different director roles in Jan
Ie don’t take offers under duress. I’m happy with the team and company I’m in now but I think I did sell myself short by not being more patient
