Just stay another year and apply for a partner level position
C at BCG is post mba. So, no. You shouldn’t
Isn’t consultant at BCG post mba / several years in? 1.5 years sounds like entry level and generalist
EY 1, why are you making a joke out of a serious question ? Such a lack of respect
Serious responses only. Thanks!
OP you’ll fit right in
No we’d look at you as an associate - expect you to take a tenure cut to come over likely. With 3 years of experience you could come in as a senior associate.
No
OP, you're an undergrad hire with 1.5 years of experience, so probably Staff 2 with no graduate degree (Masters or MBA) aka no specialization in education OR experience.
Maybe explain how you're either delivering at a Senior 3 level within EY to even begin your justification of moving up to MBB at the Consultant level. If you can't even get an associate level position due to "specialization" what makes you think you'd qualify for a ring higher?
Seriously, apply for partner positions.
With all due respect to everyone, I asked this question because on the BCG careers website the options are either to apply for a generalist role where you upload your resume without knowing the actual description of the position you are applying to. I think with 1.5- 2 years of experience, you have limited experience in 1 sector and no background in Tech, strategy, or the thousand other sectors in consulting and wasn’t sure if 1 application for all positions was the way to go.
And the second option is to search for a specialized position and apply to that specific job and the lowest level there is a Consultant.
I wasn’t sure
1) if the generalist position was for candidates looking to change career all together
2) about where the Consultant position stands in the hierarchy
I think OP is ready for partner. 😂
OP, you just failed your first interview. Don’t take yourself too seriously
I think you might need to do some more research about how we’re structured. I didn’t follow that wall of text and I work at BCG...
And applying for generalist role is simply adding a resume to the careers page
Thanks! So just upload my resume to the careers site or am I not looking at the right place?
