Management recently told the entire design team they are barred from having portfolio websites and shouldn’t promote themselves while working for the company. They are also barred from posting work on social media, even if it’s already launched and in the public domain. This seems wholly unreasonable to me. Are demands like this common? Or enforceable?

I manage a junior developer that's been with the company for about 18 months. I end up providing them of TON of support. I need to give them extremely detailed instructions or they fail. For bugs, I need to point them to a specific function that's causing the bug. For new features, I'm basically writing their method signatures and defining their test cases.

I've tried asking them to do more on their own, but when I do, they fail spectacularly.

FL peoples: I signed a lease for a new place to start May 1 as my current landlord sold the unit I'm in. Turns out, the buyer wants to keep renting the unit and asked if I want to stay.
