Best major cities to be a golfer? Hoping to move to the US soon for an MBA and stay there after. I am in Toronto and think it’s among the worst: Can’t play from November to March. Munis are overpriced for what they are, max out at 6000 yards, also impossible to get a tee time. Better public courses in the GTA a hassle to get to with traffic, and expensive relative to the rest of Ontario. Private clubs are super expensive. Public ranges are terrible yet still overcrowded.

I often get teamed up with male golfers as not many ladies play in my area. I feel like they feel awkward (cause they get silent around me, only saying good shot when I make a good shot) and so I start feeling awkward too, and it negatively impacts my game. Is it just in my head?
