Hi Fishes,
I Will be Joining PWC AC B as SA2 on Sept 2,2022. Just want to know about Appraisal cycle. Is it Mid Year or Annual appraisal process. Also, will I be eligible for next appraisal cycle ? Tried asking the same Question to HR, but didn't get a proper response. She just mentioned as per company policy.

Points and status often go a long way in foreign countries. We stayed in an Indonesian Marriot (can't remember which hotel) and it was the same as any previous 5 start hotel experience for 150k of points. 35k for a residence inn even in a good city is a waste of you plan on travel international anytime soon.

Tambo del Inka in Peru (Sacred Valley). Awesome property with good redemption values, and has a train station to get to Aguas Calientes (Machu Picchu).
St regis bora bora or the Maldives
International travel for me. I typically burn my points for 2 weeks in Asia
Outside of hotel, you can shell out points for formula one races and spending hospitality with Mercedes VIP. Highly recommend
JW Phu Quoc in Vietnam. Had my honeymoon there and it was fantastic - beautiful beach, gorgeous rooms, excellent service and a very fun unique decoration and theme to the resort.
Second this. Great place. Got an awesome upgrade as well.
Doing st regis Florence and Rome in the coming weeks - points were still a good deal versus 1200/night
Did the same in Rome great hotel. The park near by is beautiful as well
I just use points when I believe the rate is too high
I only use points at aspirational hotels where I would never spend on room in reality. For Marriott - Maldives, French Polynesia, Beaver Creek, Seychelles, Italy, etc.

You can do your own research. The trick is to look 6-12 months in advance so you can see the calendar for each months with the points variations, and that also helps you find availability. Same hotel can go from 65k points to 200k points depending when you book

St Regis in Venice and then used suite upgrade. Amazing hotel
