What has worked for me is that i like to automate everything. So i just google formulas and try them out in Excel. I also use shortcuts to flip faster through it. I literally just google everything lol
The best way to get FASTER at Excel is to stop letting yourself use the mouse to click shortcuts. Learn the keyboard shortcut for the buttons you hit all the time. Pick one (only one) shortcut and then stop letting yourself push that button. ONLY use the keyboard shortcut for a day or two or three until it becomes habit and you don't need to think about it. Then pick another one. And another. This will turn you into a shortcut wizard that will impress your coworkers.
Getting BETTER at Excel is more difficult. The best way to learn is to solve hard problems. If you don't have any coming your way at work, find some. Financial Modeling World Cup has a few free cases. There are YouTube videos of folks solving them. First try to solve the case on your own. Then watch a video of two. Then, really important, try on your own or work alongside the video. Actually. solve. the. problems. I am sure you will learn a few new tricks. Finally, take what you learn and apply to your day job.
The best way to learn is by finding use cases that actually require Excel knowledge that force you to figure it out, but I always recommend Wiseowl Tutorials on Youtube for Excel related things, especially VBA. ExcelJet is also great for learning formulas.
Turn off auto save, then FAFO.
Miss excel was helpful for learning all excel shortcuts
Is she related to Mr Excel? Mr Excel has helped me before
I just try to watch people who are better than me at excel.
There are a ton of tutorial videos out there on YouTube for free as well as experts that share content on LinkedIn. That way you can see different use cases and learn ways to apply the tools.
