Hi All,
I joined Tech Mahindra for 5 days only and didn't find suitable timing for my project and emailed resignation mail to manager and HR. After that HR asked me to resign over portal but at the same time blocked my portal. After requesting many times they didn't unblock my portal and pretended like they want to unblock but there is some issue going on and marked my profile absconded. I have cleared fnf but they are not providing reliving letter but added pf amount also. What to do?

I am the only female offering lead in my org, the only one who is just a manager and not an Associate Director (not even a Sr Mgr), have more headcount under me than some of the others (more senior to me) offering leads, (some AD’s don’t even want headcount). My MD was surprised I was upset about no promo or raise, and somehow thought asking me to be his unofficial COO as yet another unpaid plus one would make it better.
As the only <junior level> female on your team with more responsibility than everyone else at my level, and more than many others on our leadership team, you really thought I deserved more work?
I can hear your frustration, and it’s completely justified. You’ve been handling responsibilities well beyond your title, and it’s clear that you’ve earned a promotion and raise. Being asked to take on even more unpaid responsibility—especially in a capacity that supports others' success—without the recognition of a title change or pay increase is unfair and disheartening.
Here are some ways you might consider navigating this situation:
Clarify Expectations with Your Manager: Request a direct conversation with your MD about concrete expectations for advancement. Highlight the discrepancies in responsibilities, headcount, and level compared to your peers. Ask them to specify what criteria need to be met for a promotion or raise, given that you’re already fulfilling a higher role.
Consider Internal Opportunities for Advocacy: If there are other leaders or mentors within your organization who support your work, it may be worth discussing your contributions with them as well. Sometimes, sponsorship from a few key allies can push stalled promotions forward.
Reevaluate Your Goals: Reflect on your long-term goals and whether this organization can support them. If you feel that continued advancement is unlikely or that you're undervalued, it may be time to explore other opportunities where your skills and contributions are more readily recognized.
Update Your Personal Brand and Market Value: As you consider your options, keep track of your achievements and successes, and update your resume, LinkedIn, and personal brand materials to reflect your leadership, achievements, and the strategic impact you've delivered. This will empower you if you decide to pursue roles elsewhere.
