@D2 I'm sorry you didn't get the visa, but you are thinking about it wrong... sounds like MBB is offering you a ~70-80% raise over what D is willing to pay you outside the US. You shouldn't be indexed on your US pay, you aren't going to be getting it in any case.
Can't be happy when you're being asked to do things that you have no interest in and will only hurt your career. Even if I did get interest from MBB, I would only like to go to their tech/digital groups.

I'm not certain what scenario brings a pay cut at MBB. Sure there can be a step down level, but pay cut, unlikely!
I'm debating between continuing at Deloitte or taking an MBB offer outside of the US (small cut). I did not secure an H1B visa and Deloitte would place me at another location with an almost 50% cut in compensation.
From PwC > MBB pay cut sounds ok... depends how much, and how many dependents your pay is supporting.

@ PwC 3 - if he/she got an MBB offer, thinking they're interested in strategy work, so would have better opportunities for that. Would all depend what they wanted to do.
