Had an interview with a recruiter from an agency. Seemed like it went well. However, I got a rejection letter and have been seeing the position still up on job boards. Asked for feedback none received

Have an old colleague that volunteered me as a reference without asking ahead of time and lied about the way we interacted. She said I was her direct report which is a massive lie. This person then proceeded to try to derail my day by asking me to hop on an urgent call to fabricate the reference I’m supposed to give them. I’m angry but it’s also hard times. Someone pls be the voice of reason and tell me how you’d react?

I’m interviewing for a role that is open to both remote and in-person (when it’s safe) work. Should I give salary expectations based on cost of living in the city where the office is located or based on where I’d live working remotely? Cost of living in the office location is a lot higher than where I’d live but since they are also considering in-person candidates, I know the budget is there.

I’m currently in the third stage of interviewing for a full time role at a big tech company that’s notorious for having long interview processes. I’m past the initial recruiter screening, interviewed with hiring manager, and am next speaking to another manager. I now have an active offer for a contract role at the same company. I’d prefer the full time position. Can/should I tell the FT recruiter about this contract offer? Will it speed anything up? How do I approach this?

Isnt it pretty standard to expect feedback from recruiters after going through a few rounds of interviews (good or bad)? What is the rationale behind dead silence as opposed to communication?

What does it mean when the hiring agency tells you that they need to do duo diligence before making the final job offer?

They have already done multiple interviews and background reference check.

Please give me some advice on how to negotiate a salary. How to ask for more money if they come low? What else beside salary can I negotiate? Anything else I should know.
